That final scene, when Sharron Tate's voice comes through the security box, like the voice of a ghost, safe and sound and completely unaware that she should be dead at that very moment, it shook me. I started practically hyperventilating in the theatre, with tears running down my face. It was truly a movie magic moment unlike any other I had experienced. Tarantino purposefully keeps Tate out of the main plot of the movie, because he wants to give her her her life and her legacy and her innocence back. Plenty of bad things happen in the Tarantino verse, sometimes to good people. But not to Sharron Tate. In Tarantino's world, Sharron gets to live, and have her baby, and enjoy making people laugh and cheer in many more movies to come, and maybe even help someone like Rick Dalton revive his own career, because he has the power to give that to her through the magic of film making, and it's beautiful.
